At our Woking dental practices we put a great deal of emphasis on preventative dentistry, educating our patients so they can take responsibility for maintaining a high standard of personal oral health.
Sometimes though, this may not be enough and decay, breakages and other problems can also occur.
When this does happen, you can be assured that we are here to help restore your teeth both functionally and aesthetically.
Our treatments generally fall into three main categories:
‘Prevention is better than cure’ is a well-known saying and dental care is no exception. At AJ Dental Group we encourage all patients to visit us for an examination at least twice a year This allows us to monitor for signs of tooth decay and gum disease and offer early treatment where needed.
Regular and thorough cleans by one of our hygienists help to keep the mouth healthy and gum disease at bay.
Where dental decay is detected, a filling might be needed. These can be standard fillings or newer cosmetic versions which match the colour of the natural tooth. A badly broken tooth may require a dental crown which offers strength as well as a natural, aesthetically pleasing solution.
If a tooth has been lost, dental implants are increasingly considered to be the best replacement option available, offering exceptional strength and stability; however traditional dentures and bridges are also available if preferred.
Root canal treatment is also available and is used to save an infected tooth, rather than extract it.
These treatments are all about improving a person’s smile and you can find out more by visiting our cosmetic dentistry page. Procedures available at our Woking practices include teeth whitening, near-invisible orthodontics, veneers and natural coloured fillings.
