Anyone wishing to have great looking teeth will likely want them to be nice and white, but also even and straight. Unfortunately for many of us, this is not the case and gaps or overlapping teeth can detract from an otherwise great smile.
Whilst there can be some initial reluctance to have dental braces fitted to correct crooked teeth, patients of A J Dental can now choose from a range of adult orthodontics designed not only for efficiency and comfort but also to be barely visible too. These excellent features make the latest modern braces ideal for adults and teenagers who want straight teeth discreetly and quickly.
Two of the most popular orthodontics systems at our Woking dental practices include Invisalign and Inman Aligner.
Invisalign is a revolutionary and increasingly popular method of teeth straightening. Unlike virtually all other methods, it does not rely on wires and brackets, but instead, a series of transparent medical grade plastic trays made specifically for your teeth.
Each tray is worn over the teeth for a short period of time, usually a couple of weeks, during which time gentle pressure is exerted, gradually pushing them to the desired position. Once this has been achieved, the next tray is fitted moving the teeth a little further and this process continues until your teeth reach the final desired position. We will monitor your progress throughout the treatment period to ensure that all is going as it should.
Some of the advantages of Invisalign are:
Invisalign orthodontics are generally used for when a number of teeth need straightening.
The Inman Aligner is one of the fastest removable brace systems available today. All materials used are made from as fine a material as possible and also in a natural tooth colour. This means that they are much more discreet and less noticeable than traditional metal braces.
The Inman Aligner is designed using two opposing coiled springs which exert gentle but regular pressure on the teeth which need straightening. This is a fast acting system which can achieve results in just six weeks; ideal for when just the visible front teeth are crooked and need correcting quickly.
